Preparing the Next President
Branding & Event design
The summer of 2016 was filled with presidential election activities and candidates with very different approaches to national security and defense. The CNAS annual conference focused on a series of presentations to prepare the next president for these challenges and opportunities. The inspiration behind the visual branding was the word inheritance. The logo mark was designed to resemble the structure you’d see in a family tree or a flow chart found in a will. The logo and patterns used are a variety of lines and connecting spheres. The colors scheme is positive and hopeful, with even brighter colors to depict topics and assist in wayfinding at the venue. It was exciting to design materials for an event that hosted VIP keynote speakers like Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Ash Carter.
